# Free Microsoft 365 Licensing Assessment and CSP | Novacoast

> A free Microsoft 365 licensing assessment: what you actually use in your E3, E5 or E7 bundle, which third-party tools overlap it, and a priced path for your next renewal. Then Novacoast as your Microsoft CSP, with the security engineers to adopt Defender, Sentinel and Entra.

# You're paying for Microsoft security you're not using. We show you exactly how much.

Most organizations use about two-thirds of the Microsoft 365 bundle they pay for, and pay other vendors for tools the bundle already includes. A free assessment shows your real utilization, the redundant tools, and priced options for reducing cost before your next renewal. If you like what you see, we'll become your Microsoft CSP and help your team actually adopt what you already own.

## Three things you'll learn in less than an hour.

Bring your license position. We run it through our assessment tool and walk you through the results, feature by feature, in plain English rather than SKU names.

01 · utilization

### What you actually use

Feature by feature across E3, E5 and E7, Copilot, Intune and Entra: which capabilities are switched on, which are paid for and idle, and what the idle ones are worth at a la carte prices.

02 · overlap

### What you pay for twice

Every third-party tool that duplicates something in your bundle, with its annual cost beside it. Endpoint, email security, identity, meetings. We use list prices until you give us real ones.

03 · the path

### What it would cost to change

Four options with real numbers, including the price increases already announced: stay as you are, drop to E3 and keep best-of-breed, stay on E5 and trim, or go Microsoft-only. You choose. We don't push one.

your microsoft csp

## A partner focused on adoption and cost savings, every year.

A Cloud Solution Provider resells and bills your Microsoft licenses. Most CSPs stop there. The discount that won you over three years ago has usually faded, and nobody has looked at your utilization since. As your CSP we re-run the assessment every year with your real usage data, and we bring the security engineers to adopt what the license includes.

switching

### Low friction, any time

Changing CSP partners can happen at any point in the agreement. It's requested through the Microsoft portal, and for most customers the main thing that changes is who sends the bill. Terms and admin permissions are reviewed at the switch. Enterprise Agreements work differently; we'll tell you where you stand.

pricing

### Priced right, and a second quote

Our CSP pricing matches the market. If you stay with your current provider, a quote from us keeps them honest at renewal. That's a legitimate use of the conversation.

expertise

### The security to go with it

Defender, Sentinel, Entra and Purview are security products. Our co-managed SOC runs them in your tenant, 24×7, and our identity practice has twenty years on Microsoft's platform. Adoption is an engineering job, and we've got the engineers.

questions

## What buyers ask first.

What is the Microsoft value assessment?

A free workshop. We take your license position, run it through our assessment tool, and show you three things: what you actually use in your Microsoft 365 bundle, which third-party tools overlap what you already pay Microsoft for, and a priced set of paths forward for your next renewal. You get an executive summary, a value snapshot, an adoption roadmap and quote options. About an hour of your time.

Is it really free, and do we have to buy through you?

Yes and no. The assessment costs nothing and you keep everything it produces whether or not you work with us afterwards. Our hope is that you move your Microsoft licensing to Novacoast as your CSP. If you don't, the analysis is still yours.

What is a CSP, and how hard is it to switch?

A Cloud Solution Provider is the partner that resells and bills your Microsoft licenses and is your partner of record. Switching CSP partners is a low-friction change: it can happen at any point in the agreement, it's requested through the Microsoft portal, and for most customers the main thing that changes is who sends the bill. Terms and admin permissions (GDAP) are reviewed at the switch. Enterprise Agreements work differently; we'll tell you where you stand.

Will you tell us to drop our third-party tools for Microsoft?

No. We show you the overlap and the cost of each path, including the one where you keep best-of-breed tools and move to a cheaper license tier. Some customers will decide the best-of-breed premium is worth it. That's their call, with real numbers in front of them.

Can you run Sentinel and Defender for us once we're on the license?

Yes. Our co-managed SOC operates Microsoft Sentinel and Defender in your tenant, 24×7, from four SOCs. That's the part most CSPs can't offer: the security expertise to actually adopt what the license includes.

Are you agnostic if you resell Microsoft?

Yes. We recommend what we have seen work in environments like yours, and resale margin never decides a recommendation. The assessment shows every path, not the one that pays us most.
