4Shadow brings local threat detection to the Apple App Store
Novacoast often conducts penetration testing and threat analysis for customers. And while most vulnerabilities exist in policy as much as in software, the security of each workstation matters. A lot. And with more and more employees working remotely (using wifi out of the secure internal network) Novacoast developers noticed a gap in available security solutions.To ensure security in any environment, the Novacoast Development Team created 4Shadow App---a lightweight real-time network intrusion system (IDS) for OSX.
4Shadow provides at-a-glance updates on:
- Successful and failed remote logins (SSH)
- Successful and failed local authentication attempts (installers, local configuration changes)

- Man-in-the-middle attacks (ARP Poisoning)
